Community
Dr. Spano is committed to fostering meaningful connections within the local mental health and healthcare community. She believes that, especially in the post-pandemic environment, rebuilding professional networks through live, in-person interactions is essential — not only for the well-being of individual professionals but also for the health of the broader community. Through her work with the Philadelphia psychology network, she engages with local professionals to promote knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and a stronger, more connected professional community.

Real-World Community Experience
Throughout her career, Dr. Spano has worked in diverse community settings across the Philadelphia and New York metropolitan areas. During her internship and postdoctoral fellowship, she gained hands-on, trauma-informed experience in community mental health and collaborative, population-based care. She has also provided neurocognitive assessments and brief therapy to the geriatric population in nursing homes and, as a former educator, has worked closely with families and school administrators. These experiences shaped her understanding of the importance of community, connection, and collaboration — values she brings to her work with local professional networks today.
